Canadian Automotive Museum

March 2017 E-News

2017 is shaping up to be a record breaking year at the Canadian Automotive Museum from fundraising to attendance. We are grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and the Ontario150 Infrastructure Program for supporting the Canadian Automotive Museum with a grant for exterior facade improvement work. More details on the OTF grant will be announced at a public event on April 20. A huge thank you to the Unifor Local 222 that donated $500 to our facilities projects. Our wonderful donors allow us to carry out our mission and provide an exceptional visitor experience.

February was a busy month with the 1910 McKay on display at the Canadian International Auto Show and a record 226 visitors coming through the museum on Family Day. We’re expecting similar crowds during March Break when hundreds of families come to the museum to discover Canada’s automotive history. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who make all of these events possible. If you’re interested in helping at the museum please give us a call.

Catching up with CAM

“We had a great tour. Our guide spent a quite a while showing us around and we were very impressed with his knowledge and range of the stories behind the vehicles and the manufacturers. My father, a long time auto mechanic really enjoyed seeing so many of the cars from his past, ones like either he or his parents owned or he worked on. Highly recommended for anyone whether you’re a car buff or not.” – Visitor Review, January 2017
