Rate: $35.00 per night, plus $12.00 one time government reservation fee. 15-amp hookup service. Late Sunday checkout from campgrounds. Complimentary trailer parking at Falls Reserve for Benmiller guests.
The following is the proposed itinerary and will be modified as we refine the tour details, refreshment stops, sightseeing, meals, activities, etc. The routes have already been run. Children are encouraged to attend and their activities are now being planned. We welcome all Model T’s and vintage vehicles including 1and 2 cylinder, steam and electric prior to 1915, and century cars pre 1909 to drive any or all the tour routes.
FRIDAY JUNE 12 PROPOSED EARLY ITINERARY (approx 20 miles)
Arrive early (check in to hotel room or campsite if available early). Pickup Friday’s route at registration desk of hotel or campground. Optional tour of Goderich late afternoon and evening. Dinner on your own at Benmiller or restaurant of your choice in Goderich (discounts have been negotiated).
Vintage cars will certainly enjoy the drive to beautiful historic Goderich. Hospitality (refreshments, desserts, coffee, etc.) for all tour participants after Goderich tour at Sharpes Retreat at Benmiller where tour registrations will be distributed and a driver’s meeting and registration draw prizes conducted.
SATURDAY JUNE 13 PROPOSED ITINERARY (approx. 80 miles)
Breakfast at Benmiller dining room for hotel guests. Others can signup for an extra charge. Travel along scenic paved roads to beautiful Bayfield. Complimentary BBQ lunch will be provided in Bayfield’s Clan Gregor Square.
Travel on paved county roads from Bayfield to Grand Bend. Attend Grand Bend musical show “Oliver” at 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm. Alternate visit to Grand Bend Beaches and attractions if not attending theatre. Return along good paved roads from Grand Bend via Clinton to Benmiller. Great catered hip of beef BBQ with all the fixings plus home made pies. A country band will entertain us and then lead us in a square dance at the covered pavilion (rain or shine) at Falls Reserve.
SUNDAY JUNE 14 PROPOSED ITINERARY (approx. 85 miles)
Breakfast at Benmiller dining room. Campers and those staying at other accommodations can signup for Benmiller breakfast for an extra charge. Coffee break in Dungannon at George Smyth’s antique tractor collection. Travel along paved roads to Lucknow and along Lake Huron shoreline to Kincardine. Complimentary luncheon at the waterfront/harbour/beaches in Kincardine. Return from Kincardine on paved roads to Benmiller in late afternoon with a complimentary ice cream stop in Lucknow.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
When registering at Inn or campground please identify that you are with the Horseless Carriage Club or Model T Ford Club to get the good group rates. Hotel reservations must be made directly. Our initial block of 25 Benmiller rooms has been filled but we have made arrangements for another 4 Benmiller rooms until May 1, 2009. After that date these rooms will be returned to hotel inventory. If you register after May 1, 2009, you risk the chance of no rooms available. Hotel will explain reservation deposits etc. Campground reservations must be made directly. A block of 30 campsites has been reserved at Falls Reserve until May 15, 2009 in Sycamore section of the campground.
